Personal / ADHD Support / Body Doubling

Get on a call. Get the thing done.

A dedicated assistant hops on a call with you, sits there while you work, and helps you stay with it. Quiet presence or light check-ins, your call. Recurring sessions or on-demand within your plan capacity.

You know the work. The pile of forms. The job applications you keep meaning to send. The expense report. The folder of receipts.

The thing that takes 40 minutes if you start it and 40 days if you don’t. The ask isn’t help with the work. The ask is someone there while you do it.

That’s body doubling. We hop on a video or audio call, you work, we’re there. Some sessions are silent. Some have light check-ins (“how’s it going?”, “what’s next?”, “want me to keep an eye on the timer?”).

The same dedicated assistant every time, so the second session feels like the seventh. It’s not therapy and it’s not coaching. It’s company while you do the thing.

She’s on the phone with me, acting as a body double to ensure I finish the task.

What we handle

How a session actually runs.

  • Scheduled sessions on your cadence: weekly, biweekly, or ad-hoc when something has to get done
  • Video or audio, your call. Camera-on, camera-off, headphones in, however it works for you
  • Silent presence or light check-ins, depending on what helps. Tell us before the call, change your mind during it
  • The same dedicated assistant every time, so you’re not re-explaining context, the project, or how you work
  • Common use cases: paperwork, expense reports, applying to jobs or schools, sorting and organizing, inbox sweeps, the long-overdue thing on the list

Questions

Still circling?

What does a session look like?

You hop on the call at the time you’ve scheduled. Your assistant says hi, asks what you’re working on (or skips ahead if you’ve told them already), then settles in. From there it’s whatever helps: silence, the occasional check-in, a “how’s it going” at the halfway point, a quick reset if you’ve drifted. At the end you wrap up, note what’s left for next time, and you’re done.

How long are sessions?

Anywhere from 25 minutes to two hours. Most people land somewhere around 45 to 60 minutes (one focused chunk, one short break, one more chunk). Tell your account manager what works and we’ll book the cadence around it.

Can the assistant do the work, or just be present?

Both, on different sessions. Some sessions are pure body doubling and your assistant just sits with you. Other sessions are working sessions, where you talk through what needs doing and they tackle the parts they can while you handle the parts only you can do. Your call, session by session.

What if I need this only sometimes?

That’s fine. You can book recurring sessions, on-demand sessions, or a mix. On-demand sessions pull from the same hours your plan already gives you, so there’s no separate menu to handle. Tell your assistant on Sunday night that you need an hour Tuesday morning and it goes on the calendar.

Is this clinical or therapy?

No. Not therapy, not coaching, not clinical support of any kind. We aren’t licensed to do that and we won’t pretend otherwise. This is a real human keeping you company while you do work that’s hard to start alone. If you need clinical or therapeutic support, please reach out to a licensed provider, that’s a different (and important) thing.

An OkayRelax account manager.

Your account manager

A dedicated account manager. The person you actually call.

Every account has its own account manager, separate from your dedicated assistant. They run the kickoff, own the match, and are the person you reach if something needs to be rematched, escalated, or just sanity-checked. Every assignment has a quality bar. You aren't the one chasing it.

Same person, every month. No round-robin queue. No swapping out the contact after onboarding. The match you meet on day one is the match running the work on day two hundred.

From people who hired one of us

They came back for the next year.

"It is really nice having a dedicated assistant and my assistant has exceeded my expectations. They've saved me a lot of time dealing with a variety of tasks: canceling and scheduling appointments, booking work trips, researching."

Roy · OkayRelax client · August 2018

"She checks in about details and keeps me on task, which is quite a tall order. My ADHD makes it impossible to keep up on all my adulting without it."
