How do I know what to delegate?
You don’t need a list ready on day one. Your assistant starts with whatever’s loudest right now: the inbox you can’t face, the appointment you keep rescheduling, the trip you haven’t booked. Within two weeks they’ll know your patterns and start surfacing things to hand off without you asking.
What does cancellation look like?
Monthly plans have no long-term contract. Cancel online from My Account with 30 days’ notice. If a renewal falls inside those 30 days, it’s charged and your plan ends at the end of that billing period. Annual plans end on their renewal date if you cancel at least 30 days before it. Cancel later than that and we charge only for the days left in your 30-day notice, never more than one month. When your plan ends, we close access, and if your account is paid up we can hand off work in progress. No awkward conversations.
Can someone in my household use the plan too?
On Serene, yes. You can add one household member, like a spouse, partner, or another adult who lives with you, and they can send requests to the same assistant. You share the plan’s 30 hours and one account, so you both see every request, recap, and file. Your assistant keeps track of both of you. Relaxed is for one person.
Can my assistant make calls on my behalf?
Yes. Doctor’s offices, contractors, customer service, salons, schools, the cable company. They use a script when it helps and improvise when it doesn’t, and they tell you exactly what was said in the recap.
What if my assistant isn’t a fit?
Tell your account manager. We rematch. No drama, no awkward conversations on your side. The whole point of having an account manager is so you don’t have to manage the relationship.
What if my assistant is out?
Your dedicated assistant handles your work. If they’re unavailable, we can route a task to another available assistant so it doesn’t wait. When your assistant is back, they pick up where things left off.
Is this HIPAA or sensitive-info safe?
Standard confidentiality applies to every assignment, written into your assistant’s agreement. We can use a shared password manager so you never paste credentials into chat, and access is scoped, logged, and revocable. We aren’t a HIPAA-covered entity, so we don’t process protected health records on a covered-entity basis. For everything that doesn’t need that specific compliance shield, your work is safe with us.
Can I use Personal for my small business?
No, and we’d rather tell you up front than match you wrong. Personal-tier assistants aren’t matched for business work, so they aren’t the right fit for sales, customer support, CRM, or ops.
