New patients
Your kid’s first visit, walked through.
A 45-minute slot, an unhurried walkthrough, and a written summary on the way out. Bring the insurance card, the pediatrician’s contact, and a list of any medications.
Before the visit
Three things, ahead of time.
Forms by email
We send them when you book. Fill them out at home — the visit goes faster. Paper version available at the front desk if you’d rather.
Insurance verification
Send a photo of the card when you book. We come back with what’s covered, in writing, inside one business day.
Anxious-kid heads-up
Tell us when you book. We add a 15-minute meet-and-greet so your kid can sit in the chair without anything happening to them.
What the visit looks like
Minute by minute.
| Minute | What happens |
|---|---|
| 0 to 5 | Check-in, hygienist comes to the waiting room |
| 5 to 10 | Walk to the chair, meet every tool, kid sits or you hold them |
| 10 to 30 | Cleaning (or just the exam for under-3) |
| 30 to 40 | Dentist comes in, exam, X-rays only if needed |
| 40 to 45 | Plan written up, sticker chosen, next visit booked |
The waiting room
Books, blocks, and a quieter corner.
Play area for kids over 2, a quieter corner with a low couch for younger ones, a sibling table near the front desk, and an espresso machine for the parent who’s running on no sleep. We don’t have a TV — the room is loud enough already.

What we’re going for
The first visit, without the dread.
Most kids walk out of a first visit either neutral or surprised it wasn’t a big deal. We aim for that. No surprise procedures, no bait-and-switch upsell on the way out, no one in a mask the kid hasn’t already met. If your kid is anxious, tell us at booking — we add a 15-minute meet-and-greet up front.
